Hello, friends and fans. It’s been a while since I’ve had much to say–been playing and learning, but not a lot of projects in the mix. There’s a whiff of an album- I’ll know more after Sunday. Until then, enjoy this. I wrote this song when I was on the road living in my Nova. As you can see, it’s quite uncomplicated. I hired Coley the parakeet as a test audience. He would love to know what you think, if you don’t mind that he added his own sound effects.
sunny was adopted in montana when she was a year old. i assumed she had not seen the beach. when i first took her, it was to the carpinteria bluffs nature preserve. there is a trail that runs under a line of eucalyptus trees, on the cliff overlooking the ocean. her first glimpse of it was one of the most beautiful i can imagine.
we later went to seaside, oregon, and today, a year and a half later, we came to lincoln beach to work off our oats before heading to town.
suffice to say it was a happy reunion.
